The main website of Nihon Eigo Kentei Kyōkai, or the Society for Testing English Proficiency (STEP), Inc., is located at www.eiken.or.jp and is provided in Japanese, as are test application materials and instructions, in order to best meet the needs of STEP’s principle stakeholders and test users.

The English website you are now viewing is not intended as a replacement or direct translation of the Japanese website, but is provided as an additional reference and in order to make basic information about STEP and the EIKEN tests more accessible to the international community.
