North America

In 2003, Wartburg College (Waverly, IA) became the first institution outside Japan to recognize EIKEN for international admissions. Since then, 300 colleges and universities in 40 U.S. states have followed suit.

Australia

In 2006, the government of New South Wales, Australia, formalized recognition of EIKEN at all TAFE (Technical and Further Education) campuses and all state high schools—more than 400 locations statewide.
